Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Services

Training Mode

1. The main training areas include: big muscles (physical energy) small muscles (finger strength, hand-eye coordination, two-hand coordination, learn to use muscles) self-care (dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, home training and etc) Intelligence (colours, shapes, causality, objects, space - up and down, big and small, left and right etc) Mathematics (numbers before and after, number combinations, number sequence: in order and reverse order etc) Language (speech comprehension and expression)

2. Each disabled child has a home training book which is distributed once a week. Our school let parents know the school’s coaching projects and comments on their children in the past week. In addition to knowing the coaching progress, parents also need to do practise with their children at home so that the children can further strengthen knowledge and skills that they have learned.

3. During practicing with children, parents can also write down the difficulties, situations and etc. on the home training book which is used as a communication tool with teachers.

4. Home training book must be placed in school bag everyday so that teachers can mark down training content to learn and communication notes in the book.

Evaluation Mode

1. A learning assessment will be conducted for each child. An assessment form - “Learning Schedule of Children” for children with disabilities is prepared to conduct comprehensive assessment regarding six scopes. This therefore allows teachers and parents to have more detailed analysis and understanding of children in all aspects.

2. After each evaluation, it is compulsory to arrange a parents-teacher appointment to discuss assessment results and scopes of learning of children.
