Whole Language Learning

In order to develop children’s interest in language and writing, our school adopts the teaching philosophy of the whole language. Through story teaching, weekly journal, news sharing, parents-child reading programme, book report, vocabularies learning activities and etc, we cultivate children’s interest in reading and writing. In aspects of bilingualism, English teachers and Putonghua teachers are employed to design diversified activities with our school teachers, including but not limited to singing, storytelling, phonics and drama activities. This aims to stimulate children’s language learning interest through systematic, diversified and gradual learning and teaching method. Children are allowed to study English and Mandarin from a early age and build a strong foundation for foreign language learning.
