Collection of application Forms (No quota)

Return of Application Forms Admission  

  1. Submit the application form in person or by post（including the following documents）.
  2. Four 23cmX10cm rectangular self-addressed envelopes affixed with $2.2 stamps (Please write the applicant's address and name on the cover of the self-addressed envelopes.)
  3. Application fee of HK$40. Cheque should be crossed and made payable to “ST. JAMES’SETTLEMENT  CAUSEWAY BAY KINDERGARTEN”. Please write the child’s name on the back of the cheque. The application fee is non-refunable.

      *If submit the application in person, parents can pay the application fee in cash. Parents are requested to prepare sufficient amount of money in advance.

   4. Distribution Period:
       Date: 1/11/2023 to 31/10/2024(day of the week)
       Time: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Mondays to Fridays) / 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Saturdays)

Interview Arrangements

  1. After we have received the application form, we will confirm and the interview arrangements within two weeks by post and email.
  2. We will arrange interview for all applicants .
  3. Interviews will be conducted on  November and December .
  4. Parents should accompany their child for the interview.
  5. Individual interview will be arranged.

Admission Criteria

  1. Interview performance.
  2. Children are required of the right age to enroll  N1-K3 class.
  3. Identify and agree with our school mission.
  4. The applicant from families in need will be given due priority consideration when applying for whole day / long whole day classes.
    (As the number of school places is limited, please understand that not all applicants fulfilling the priority consideration will be guaranteed a school place.)

Announcement of Admission Results

2024/2025 School Year

We will inform parents of the admission results before 15 December 2023 by post.

Registration Arrangements  

  1. Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child from 4 to 6 January 2024 (“Centralised Registration Dates”) by submitting the original of the “RC”/"AP" to the kindergarten and paying the registration fee.
  2. Applicants on the waiting list: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the original of the “ RC”/"AP" to the kindergarten and pay the registration fee.
  3. Please be reminded that if parents cannot submit the “ RC”/"AP" during registration, the kindergarten may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents are required to submit application for the “ RC”/"AP" to EDB within the specified period.
  4. The registration fee for N1 place is HK$1,570, K1 place is HK$1000 . Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the kindergarten in writing. The kindergarten will return the “ RC” / "AP" but the registration fee will not be refunded. Upon obtaining the “ RC” / "AP" , the kindergarten will no longer keep the school place for the child.

  3. Allow parents and childen to be accompanied by a Chinese speaking relative/friend duing the interview to facilitate communication

Please notice that sufficient postage ensure prompt delivery when posting the application. Any insufficient postage might delay the delivery or you will be kindly asked to come to school and pay the surcharge in 2 weeks time.

Gentle reminders:
The postage rate of envelopes 23cm x 15cm is often $4. (The postage rate depends on the weight of the mail item at the post office)
