Principal's Message
Welcome to "Causeway Bay Kindergarten"!
Founded in 1997 by the St. James' Settlement, Causeway Bay Kindergarten is a nurturing and vibrant early childhood education center. We are grateful for the Father’s guidance and protection along the way. We adhere to the educational philosophy of "sincerity, intention, honesty, and a people-centered approach," focusing on each child's uniqueness and holistic well-being. We aim to foster their growth in an atmosphere of "faith, hope, and love," helping them understand the true meaning of life.
Our school values Christian faith and positive education, integrating neuroscience teaching strategies to design appropriate, balanced, and comprehensive school-based curricula. We create a diverse and exploratory learning environment that allows children to leverage their individual strengths. Children can freely choose learning materials and spaces, collaboratively constructing a rich, authentic, and engaging playground. Teachers guide students in a spontaneous teaching manner, promoting autonomous learning, reflection, and improvement, fully embodying the core value of "child-centeredness."
Through direct interactions with nature, community culture, and resources, children expand their horizons from life experiences. Using play and multi-sensory learning approaches, we satisfy their curiosity, stimulate creativity and imagination, and cultivate confidence, autonomy, and discipline. We emphasize the rhythm of learning and the order of life, enabling children to engage wholeheartedly in optimal conditions, gain wisdom, and unlock their potential.
As children transition from the familiar warmth of home to the wondrous and fresh campus, they embark on a journey of learning in groups, facing one growth challenge after another. We thank parents and staff for their united efforts in encouraging children to bravely embrace challenges and adapt to campus life, crafting joyful childhoods while nurturing positive character and refined temperament. We strive to fulfill the mission of "training a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).
However, growth is not only about physical development; it also involves the accumulation of thoughts and wisdom. As the Bible says: "Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God" (1 Peter 3:3-4). Therefore, we are committed to preserving the innocence and goodness of children, cultivating a spirit of tolerance, sincerity, and the pursuit of truth, helping them become individuals filled with love and purity.
Looking back from the past to the present, every classroom, every corner, every wall, and every floor has been renewed. The children's innocent perspective on the world, the teachers' selfless dedication to education, and the parents' careful nurturing remain unchanged. In this campus, we support each other, sharing emotions and joys, forming a warm, harmonious, laughter-filled, and vibrant family.
We wish every dear friend who has been part of our journey abundant blessings, health, and overflowing joy.
